FAT BUDHA

UK music producer Fat Budha is a rising creative force. Born and raised in Leicester, he draws on his Sikh-Panjabi heritage, channeling the raw energy and attitude of folk music with the grit of UK street and sound system culture he grew up with.
Known to his peers simply as Budha, his sound reflects deep cultural roots and musical versatility — drawing from a palette shaped by UK club culture and American Hip-Hop, R&B, Trap, and Soul. His productions effortlessly showcase his ability to playfully switch it up between experimental UK genres including Grime, Garage, Drill, Jungle, and Drum & Bass.
Budha’s breakout moment arrived through a creative alliance with Manchester rapper and poet Oneda, winner of the 2024 AIM Award for Best Up and Coming Artist. He produced the acclaimed single “Love Reality” — released via Heavenly Recordings as the lead track on her debut EP — which sparked the momentum that carried into Oneda’s 2024 debut album Formula Oneda, where he produced and mixed four standout tracks, including two of the album’s lead singles “Set It Off” and “Let Me In”. Both tracks received widespread acclaim and national playlisting on BBC Radio 6, BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, and BBC Introducing.
The album drew praise from Clash, DJ Mag, NME, and Mixmag, where it was named one of the Best Albums of 2024. His work has charted in the Shazam Top 100 and has been synced on the BAFTA-nominated BBC series Boarders (Season 2) and Channel 4’s hit series Made in Chelsea.
Beyond the studio, Budha’s productions have travelled from underground speakers to global stages — with performances across six stages at Glastonbury, including a featured BBC Introducing set at Glastonbury 2025, as well as sets at Boomtown and international showcases like SXSW in Austin, Texas.
Blending cultural legacy with a contemporary pulse, Fat Budha continues to redefine what UK production can sound like — emotional, genre-fluid, and distinctly forward-thinking.
